Who We Are
Our Vision
- Founded in Calgary Alberta in 2010, the One Aim Cycling Team (One Aim) was established by a group of cycling enthusiasts to fundraise and support the Alberta Cancer Foundation (ACF) through the Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer (RTCC) annual cycling event.
- From 2010 to 2024, One Aim raised a total of $2.85 million for ACF to support its cancer diagnostic and treatment technologies research programs, as well as its cancer care programs in Alberta.
- In 2009, a group of ordinary people signed up to participate in the inaugural RTCC. With varied cycling expertise but one common objective, this group met and trained together for months under the guidance of Dr. Nigel Brockton, a senior research scientist at ACF, avid cyclist, and um, hat collector.
Our Team
- After a successful 220 km tour at the inaugural event, 12 of these cyclists decided to continue with regular group rides, to establish One Aim with Dr Brockton as team captain, and to continually support RTCC and ACF.
- With volunteer ride guides, One Aim organizes weekday and weekend group rides to help members of all ability levels further develop their cycling skills.
- Today, One Aim is a thriving community cycling group. We continue to support ACF and fundraise for the rebranded Enbridge Tour Alberta for Cancer. One Aim group rides also offer great opportunities for socializing, fostering friendships, and developing an active and healthy lifestyle.

Team Fundraiser 2025 - Here it comes!
One Aim Cycle Club - Conquer Cancer Fundraising Update
Our 2025 fundraiser will take place on Thursday, June 19th, at Canadian Brewhouse in the University District in the Northwest.
Once again, weather permitting, we'll be on that fabulous rooftop patio starting at 5:30 pm.
Tickets will be $10 and will include one free drink on Canadian Brewhouse.
We will once again have a Silent Auction and 50/50 draw. After feedback last year, we're going back to paper bidding sheets, and accepting payment in cash or via debit or credit card for items.
We're looking for silent auction item donations. Last year, if you remember, the club raised $10,000!
We'd love to repeat or exceed that this year. If you know of friends who'd have valuable donations please put them in touch with the club via our club email oneaimteam@gmail.com. Think hotel stays, gift certificates for clothing, cycling paraphernalia, restaurant gift certificates, Spa certificates (particularly post-training-ride massages!), and fabulous custom ideas - like Dennis Wong's package riding shotgun in a Porsche at the RMM race track, or club sponsor Nolan Matthias leveraging a membership to provide a fabulous round of Golf at the Glencoe Club Golf & Country Club!

Now, for the 50/50!
Due to AGLC regulations, our 50/50 is capped at $5,000, which means at $2 each, we have a total of 2500 tickets to sell to maximize the winner's potential $2500 jackpot.
We will be selling tickets the night of the fundraiser.
